"There is hardly a place in Germany with greater symbolic power: in recent years, Hambacher Forst has become synonymous not only with the protest against the anachronistic use of lignite, but also with the struggle against the various forms of oppression and destruction that capitalism breeds. Hambacher Forst is therefore also a forest full of stories, beautiful as well as sad; a historical place; a unique natural and living space; a refuge that must be preserved along with all its stories. The book '10 Jahre Hambacher Forst' attempts to do just that: It brings together visual material from 17 different photographers - Thekla EHLING, Sophie REUTER, Todde KEMMERICH, Hubert PERSCHKE, Tim WAGNER, Paul KRÖFGES, Matthias JUNG, Fabian WEISS, Andi HEUSER, David KLAMMER, Achim MOHNÉ, Daniel CHATARD, Michael GOERGENS, Neha HIRVE, Steffen MAYN, ANGIE, Jennifer LOST - who have documented and accompanied the occupation of the forest over the last ten years.

In a combination of artistic and activist positions, photographs, original sounds and archive materials, the publication '10 Years of Hambacher Forst' tells the stories of those people who fought to preserve Hambacher Forst. It is a chronicle, a reminder, and a tribute to the numerous activists who fought for their convictions, for coexistence in solidary diversity, for a better world and a better life."
