Background information
"Since 1980 Joachim BROHM has concentrated in his work on urban phenomena and in particular on the peripheral zones of residential, industrial and recreational areas. In 1992 he began with a first survey of a 90,000 m2 former industrial area in the north of Munich, which was to be repeated annually in the future and will not be completed until the new millennium." Titled 'areal in progress. a photographic project 1992-2002', the portfolio consists of five loose sheets with ten photographs and a text ('Langeweile' / 'Slow Attention') by Moritz Küng rendered in two languages.
The publication was the precursor to the photo volume 'Areal', which is now out of print at the publisher.
