My artistic practice moves in a landscape between politics, popular media and human existence, with inspiration drawn from surveillance, architecture, science and social events. I strive to find a playfulness between fact and fiction. Moments and places not consciously searched for, however, images that makes their presence known.
My 1st book, 'Great American Eclipse', played with the balance of an actual event which was a solar eclipse crossing America and political difficulties in this same period.
My 2nd book, 'Traces of tracking' started with the Paris attacks and escalated to a study on surveillance in todays society." (Christian André STRAND)

But the photo book is not only a documentary, but also a very atmospheric contribution to how Europeans see the Americans.
