Focusing on the near-50-year period in which abortion was legal in the USA, 'The Last Safe Abortion' by Carmen WINANT recognises the care, advocacy, and community-building of abortion workers. Images from over a dozen personal and institutional archives.

'Ishimoto. Lines and Bodies' combines the formal approach of the Chicago New Bauhaus with Japanese aesthetics. His vision and his work on the motif, which went as far as abstraction, made Ishimoto a key figure on the Japanese photography scene in the 60s.

'Malanka' by Yelena YEMCHUK deals with a folklore ritual celebrated by ethnic Romanians in western Ukraine. She visited the village of Krasnoilsk to photograph the local Malanka. The photo series is personal, feminine, surreal and surrounded by magic.

'Eternal U' by Hubert HUMKA - 3rd part of his book trilogy, together with 'Eden (2014) and 'Death Landscapes' (2018) - is about death and eternity. It's main axis are forest photographs (life), negatives (death) and embossed texts (traces we leave behind)

In his book '22 days in Between', Salih BASHEER collects the few memories he has of his parents, who passed away when he was 3 years old. These memories, seen from a child’s perspective are presented in a mix of images, writing, self-portraits & drawings.

The volume 'Shima no Ama' by Kusukazu URAGUCHI is about Japanese free divers, the 'ama', and thus tells of both cultural heritage and modernity, as these communities have undergone profound changes in the wake of the wave of urbanization that swept Japan.
