Even her early works for the East German fashion magazine 'Sibylle' acted as a beacon in the socialist uniform gray. The photographs in the out-of-print photo volume 'The Polaroids' by Sibylle BERGEMANN occupy a very special, private place. On them she captured what basically cannot be captured - the beautiful moment that may not linger. The result is dreamlike and delicate images against oblivion, which elude temporal and spatial classification.
