Austrian photographer

'Abstrakt' by Ernst HAAS contains diverse abstractions in color - from street clutter to torn posters and other found objects - spanning his entire career from 1952 to 1984. HAAS himself considered the project the culmination of his photographic work.

In his volume 'Abschied mit einem leisen "Klick"' Klaus BOCK comprehensively examines how the Austrian illustrated magazines during the First World War fulfilled the task of stirring up and channeling emotions with photographs: to collectivize them.

In his photo book 'Alpen' (engl. Alps) Peter MATHIS shows the mountain world in sensitive portraits that show the artist's deep connection with his subject. The black and white photographs invite the viewer to experience the Alps from different angles.

'Gstettn' is a piece of land that is waiting to be developed and has meanwhile been taken possession of by nature. With her photos in 'Gstettn', consisting of 8 booklets in a linen slipcase, Regina ANZENBERGER has documented this place in seven chapters.

In 'Du, meine konkrete Utopie' (You, my concrete utopia), Zara PFEIFER documents life in a housing project created in Vienna in the mid-1970s. In 'Alterlaa' people realize their utopia of living in real communities with fresh air, water and greenery.

The images in the volume 'Mühl' by Bernhard FUCHS, taken between 2014 and 2019 in the Mühlviertel in Upper Austria, show nature details on long walks. Colors and different angles of view give the seemingly small and inconspicuous its great significance.
