"Photo artists Nicole BLAFFERT and Franz WAMHOF lived at JHQ for two months to photograph architecture, landscape and people. JHQ stands for Joint Headquarters and refers to the amalgamation of various military general staffs of NATO and British forces in Germany. This city-like place with complete infrastructure near Mönchengladbach was built in the period 1952- 1954 and was abandoned at the end of 2013. A photo book with a personal documentary view of the dissolution of a relic from the time of the 'Cold War'." (© Edition Fotohof, 2012)
